Awesomely Awkward Thursday

Okay. So, it's been like a year since I last blogged. Like woah. I could spend a lot of time making excuses up about why I haven't blogged in the past year, but no one, not even me, has time for that many excuses. So, I suppose we'll say that it happened, I'm posting now, and I"m asking for forgiveness.

Blogging takes commitment. Which is something I'm going to have to get good at if I'm going to be a good, interesting, and dedicated blogger. So, here's to a new goal: blogging tenacity.

Now, onto something that will hopefully help me be more dedicated to Shenanigans of Consequence: AWESOMELY AWKWARD THURSDAY. Let me explain. I've seen others blog Thursdays as "Awesome and Awkward Thursday", but I feel bad about doing the same thing for a couple reasons: first, I didn't create it. Second, in my life, I have a difficult time separating the awkward from the awesome, instead having more awkward things happen which I then eventually laugh at, which turns them into awesome things. So, the new name. And my first entry for AWESOMELY AWKWARD THURSDAY.

*Posting this blog at 12:28am on Thursday morning. There really hasn't been enough time for awesomely awkward things to happen just today, so this feature will span the week. :)

* Shopping in the juniors' department as a 23 year old. And seeing copious amounts of artfully tattered, fringed, and mustard colored garments. And thinking that these ugly pieces are the ones that people will be wearing come fall. WOOF.

*Playing catch phrase and, in the heat of the game, mistaking AAA for AA. My first clue for this word: "oh no, I drink too much, I need to go to this place..."

* Singing and dancing to myself on the car ride to anywhere. Bonus points if the song is completely unexpected for me, like anything by Wiz Khalifa or Jefferson Airplane (both of whom I have sung to this week...)

* This t-shirt, on sale at Delia's this week.

I go Gaga for this shirt! (actually, this joke can fit into the awesomely awkward category, too...)
